During my residency at MMU I wanted to design a product that would sit in both prestigious stores and in high profile galleries.
Initially I was inspired by my Grandma’s hand written recipe book. The book was riddled with enchanting marks, which provided material to experiment with and allowed the development of a new concept - to transform disregarded beauty into something new and desirable. A digital process enhances these extraordinary marks, and other imagery, to transform mundane domestic textiles into practical works of art.
The range entitled ‘Domestic Bliss’ includes tea towels, napkins, ironing board covers, aprons, cushions & a registered design draught excluder.
