Taking inspiration from Haute Couture dress I have incorporated floral imagery
to create a collection of interior accessories. I aim to bring the elegance and
sophistication of past fashions into the home together with the femininity
and romance of the flower.
Using pleats and gathers with intricate hand stitch on contrasting,
luxurious fabric to create one-off pieces. The floral imagery is often hidden,
the fastenings becoming a feature which can transform the piece by
revealing delicate detail giving the work an element of secrecy.
