Sarah Dent Chief Study: Constructed Textiles 

My inspiration has come from interesting architecture, mainly that of Antoni Gaudi, and decorative artifacts. My design work focuses on colour, texture and pattern, to capture the mood from my original inspiration. Decoration is also important to me, as it makes the design beautiful and ornate.

I am motivated by market research, fashion forecasts and catwalk shows, as well as my own visual research, which consists of photography and drawings.

I have designed a small collection of knitted garments for the feminine 'twenty something' lady who appreciates something precious yet comfortable.
